Know the Limits

Under NYS DOCCS Directive 4911, a person can receive up to 3 vendor food packages a month, with a combined weight of no more than 40 lbs. Packages from other vendors count toward the same limit. Non-food items don't count toward the food weight limit.

Some facilities and housing units have extra rules, and some can't receive packages at all. If you're unsure, check with the facility before you order.
